Melissa Rigsby is one of those creative individuals that looks at something and sees what it could be. As a self-proclaimed junkster and salvage designer, Melissa loves nothing more than scavenging and repurposing. Her trash-to-treasure love story began when she was re-furbishing an 1840's farmhouse on a budget. Once she moved the historic house to her own property, Melissa found herself on a mission to find just the right things to restore it to its original beauty.
After several years of running her own restaurant (Melissa's) in Thomasville, and after filling her workshops with antiques and salvage yard finds, Melissa decided to open her own antiques and custom designed interiors store. Thus, Relics was born, and Melissa has been on the hunt for more great finds ever since. Traveling all over the southeast to find objects of interest, she gathers up potential, then with a lot of love and buckets of paint and elbow grease, she grants it new life and sends it on its way to a new home. Relics is known for its quirky yet elegant, shabby but fabulous, unique home goods.
Married to her high school sweetheart, Fondren Rigsby, she enjoys spending time at home working on her many projects, that is, when she's not out working in the yard or hunting and fishing with Fondren.
